How do you collect your data?
The database is constantly researched and updated, including monthly cross-referencing with the FSA Register, to ensure a constant and current ‘universe’ at both company and contact level.
The data is further enriched with additional information from specialist sources, including:

- Matrix Solutions research
- www.mylocaladviser.co.uk
- Centaur Publications
- Trade organisations
- Publishing groups
This thorough and comprehensive process ensures that the dataset you access is as accurate, up-to-date and clean as possible, enabling you to maximise the penetration of your marketing budget.
I have forgotten my password
If you have forgotten your password we can easily send you a new one, just click on "support" and you will be able to email the support team you request. Alternatively you can contact by phone on 020 7074 1200.
If you enter the wrong password 3 times your account will be locked for security reasons and the account can only be unlocked by the FS:web support team.
For security reasons you can only be logged into one computer at a time. You should always logout of the website rather than closing the browser. Otherwise you may receive an “Account in use” message if you attempt to log back in shortly afterwards.

How do I change my password?
To change your password, click on ‘Admin’ and then select ‘Change Password’.This will direct you to the next area where you will be prompted to input you existing login details and enter your new password. Once you click “Submit” you new password will take effect.
Why am I unable to view the FS:web homepage?
FS:web can only be accessed using the Internet Explorer browser. Browsers such as Firefox, Google Chrome and Safari are not compatable.

What do the Data Protection Filters mean?
Data Protection Filters are important when creating a contact list from FS:Web. This ensures you do not contact those IFAs who have opted out of third party communications. For example, if you are planning to send an email communication to contacts found on FS:Web, you will need to ‘Exclude “do not email” contacts’, however you can set all other data protection filters to ‘Include’ to ensure you reach the widest audience.

What is the difference between an "Inclusive" and "Exclusive" search?
An inclusive (any) search means that if more than one selection is made then providing that a company or contact matches one of the criteria then they will be included in the results. An exclusive (and) search applies when more than one selection is made, the company or conact must fulfill all of the selection or they will be excluded from the results. If we take the example below for an inclusive search an IFA would have to advise on either Personal Pensions OR Group Pensions OR SIPP's to appear in the results. If the search was Exclusive then an IFA would have to advise on Personal Pensions AND Group Pensions AND SIPP's to appear in the results.
