Hull Children’s University Visit

Matrix Solutions welcomed seven students from Hull Children’s University on Tuesday 19th July as part of our new initiative to introduce younger people to the world of work. Both Jon Abbott and David Young led the presentations and felt proud to be furthering our relationships with local community groups.

Hull Children’s University is a study support programme operating outside normal school hours in which young people, 7-14 years take part in voluntarily. The University provides learning experiences for young people, supporting schools in their delivery of the national curriculum and the government’s aims outlined in ‘Every Child Matters’.

Kate Carroll, who was mentoring the group got in touch yesterday to offer her thanks for the workshop: “Thank you so very, very much to you both for your time and brilliant workshop this afternoon. I thought both you and David gave excellent and engaging presentations, I also found it really interesting about your selection criteria when people apply to you for jobs; Once again, thank you to you and David for you time, and it is such a pleasure to be working with such a forward-thinking company”.
